New Person in the Block

i really appreciate Paul's lifestyle. He is always striving in every way to serve God and not even gain his own pride. Paul really change from persecutor of Christians to Fire up person for Christ. Paul's first book in the Bible is Galatians. Yea, because in Galatians he tells people that he is new person in believing that Jesus Christ is God.

Galatians really goes hand in hand with the book of James. Because both speaks about faith. Galatians talks more about salvation through faith alone and James talks more about Faith without works is dead. Both of those are their themes. They may seem like conflicting each other but they are more of complimenting one another.

Galatians 1 is telling us that Paul is announcing that he is a Christian now. Some times in our life is better to let people around you to know that you are a Christian already because Jesus Christ didn't ask us to hide the true from people or hide the light. No, you should just run out to the streets and just yell out that you are Christian. Jesus Christ doesn't want you to hide it. Being a Christian means you are being real with Jesus Christ like a relationship cannot stay hidden forever. The true in you just wants to come out and wants to change your life.

That is why Paul is announcing his Faith in Jesus Christ.

Let's read it

Galatians 1

1Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2and all the brothers with me,
To the churches in Galatia:

3Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

No Other Gospel
6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

10Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Paul Called by God
11I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. 12I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

13For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. 14I was advancing in Judaism beyond many Jews of my own age and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15But when God, who set me apart from birth and called me by his grace, was pleased 16to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man, 17nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went immediately into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.

18Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Peter and stayed with him fifteen days. 19I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord's brother. 20I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie. 21Later I went to Syria and Cilicia. 22I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. 23They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy." 24And they praised God because of me.

The people in that time was so scare of Paul that they thought it was a trick to get them. That is why in verses 6-10. Christians that time were confuse.

Anyway, if you are a Christian and your family members are not. Well God will provide the time for you to share that you are a Christian. At times you better catch that moment because it will pass by very quickly.

I can tell you this, there is no half-half Christians, there are no lukewarm Christians. There is only one way which is an all out Christian. A Christian that is on fire on God all the time. He/she knows that his flame won't die down because he/she knows that Jesus Christ is always there. He/she doesn't need events or powerful worship or good message or so on. He/she relies on Holy Spirit to guide him/her and read God's Word for spiritual food. That i say is a fully ready fire up Christian.

Don't you dare take Christianity as a way for you to escape the dooms of hell. That is not the way think of it. In fact is really really wrong.

You want to be a Christian because you know your guilt in you and that Jesus Christ has redeem you from sin which means you are His now and forever. And you want to always improve your relationship by serving, having faith, love, etc.

I let you to think to yourself. Are you a Christians for the right reasons? if not pray about it and even see the pastor in your church. I'm serious, don't take God lightly.

God loves you
